Animation practice after completing The Animators Survival Kit by Richard Williams
I learned the fundamentals of animating, that are both relevant for frame-by-frame animation and motion graphics. The timing, spacing, anticipation, adding weight to the objects, as well as things that I have never done before (blows my mind), like squash and stretch and exaggeration.
I also made a walk cycle following directly the steps from the book, which turned out surprisingly well. Can’t wait to dive into run and jump cycles too, and also adding personality and acting into the character.
