Overview
Readings Capturer Hub is a web software for data acquisition and monitoring various hardware devices (water meters, gas meters, electricity meter, etc.). Initially it was created for a small group of devices but grew into something larger. We have respectively updated the user experience to handle tens or hundreds of devices.
The Goal & Motivation
With our technology collecting data from hardware devices, like water meters, becomes as automated and easy as possible.
User Experience
Initially the software was simple – it shows you the devices’ data, that you can later export. With the growing demand for the software, we made a way to handle many devices without tons of frustrating scrolling. We added a filter and search features that will help narrowing down the number as well as a parent-child structure for connected devices. Additionally, we turned the settings and export options to menus for more flexibility on the content.
Design & Graphics
The UI design has two different views – one more graphic orientated, and a table view. Both show the same information, but in a different way.
The design is light weight and focused mostly on the devices and their values. We are using a basic typeface with different weights and sizes that are working together with a mostly blue color palette.
Technology
The front-end is developed in react.js
